Onigiri set meal! Thanks for the meal.

No pictures this time. Sorry. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of mochi. I dislike it so much that I even ask people not to put mochi in my ozoni soup during New Year's. However, freshly made mochi is a different story. I love it. I'll be a bit vague to avoid revealing my exact location, but in my area, there are a few places that serve freshly made mochi during New Year's. Even though I don't eat mochi at all usually, I eat more than my fair share of freshly made mochi. I enjoy it with kinako (roasted soybean flour), soy sauce, or sweet bean paste. I thought I'd get tired of it after eating too much, but then I realized something! About three years ago, I discovered that after eating plenty of mochi, drinking green tea with it was like, 'Whoa, this is amazing! It goes so well together!' Ever since then, I always prepare green tea when I eat mochi.

It suddenly started raining, so I was looking for a place to take shelter and rushed into one, only to find this vending machine. I feel like it used to be called a 'price-shattering vending machine' or something similar back in the day, but thinking about that term with today's sensibilities, it might be a bit problematic... Anyway, that's irrelevant for now. Since the hot days are still going strong, I might be relying on this vending machine a few times from now on 😋

Why are ekiben (station bento boxes) so appealing when you eat them on the Shinkansen or limited express trains? Since I was late buying one & didn't have much time before the train, I went with a reliable bento box & Harekaze (clear skies drink), and grabbed a Shinkansen ice cream () on the platform! I think this is the ultimate combo for a train journey.

I'm absolutely exhausted today, so I bought a supermarket bento box & a salad platter that looked like an appetizer set! And a Mont Blanc for dessert too! I haven't eaten a proper meal today, so I'm gonna stuff myself 😂 I really want some alcohol too, but I have an early start tomorrow, so I'll hold off 🤭 I wanna drink tomorrow though….

My dislike for onions is showing (*ﾉｪﾉ) kyaa Even looking at it myself makes me really want to eat it... This timing might have been a mistake. I ended up eating it myself (*ﾉω・*) tehe Btw, it's the Samurai Mac Aburi Soy Sauce style Double Thick Beef set for me 🍔🍟🥛

A dessert my mom made by mixing sweet red bean paste, gelatin, and something else. She tried it thinking it might turn out like yokan. In the end, it turned out pretty much like a very firm yokan... I guess? It tastes delicious!
