Added a little. I tried my best to remember, as someone who has never had such an experience, but... Back when I was a kid... maybe around elementary school age? The sun had set, and I was in a car with my cousin's family, waiting for something (I forgot what). While waiting, I was idly looking out the window when I saw something shining in the sky a little distance away (now that I think about it, it was really close to the horizon, like it was going to hit the house). UFO?! By the time I thought that, it was already gone. A meteorite? But it seemed to shine really close to the horizon (I usually imagine them burning up higher in the sky...), so it really is a "what was that"... Was it a fireball or something? Still, it was just a moment 🤔 Oh, by the way, there are no airports around here, so that's not a possibility. I forgot about it because it wasn't there lol But I think no one else saw it but me (since no one reacted, I stayed quiet too...), so it's still a mystery... There was no SNS back then either. It's not interesting, is it? lol

I finished lightly earlier, but this house exploration started unintentionally in a rather unusual way. To be blunt, the regular method involves imagining your house and exploring it, but this one begins as a dream. It starts with me standing in front of the house, and somewhere within, I understand 'Ah, this is that.' Entering through the front door, I check the living room, kitchen, bathroom, toilet, and the Buddhist altar room. Going upstairs to the second floor, I look through my younger brother's room, the master bedroom, and my own room. Then, I suddenly became curious about the walk-in closet. It's the same closet from my previous post about decluttering and throwing away those horror books. This was before the decluttering, so the horror books were still piled up there. Since I was curious, I had no choice but to open it. When I opened it, the books that should have been on the lower shelf were gone. Instead, a woman with long black hair, looking a bit older, was sitting with her knees hugged, looking at me. Ah! At that moment, I woke up. It's not the usual way, but was there a spirit in my house?

A while back, there was a trend on bulletin boards like 2ch called the "Intuition Test." It involved imagining your own house and looking around inside it. If you saw a person, it meant you had intuition, and if you saw a ghost, it meant there was a ghost in your house. (Since it was on bulletin boards, the details often changed a bit). When I tried it, there were no people. There were no people, but there were two cats. They looked exactly like the cats I used to have, so I thought maybe they come back to visit sometimes.

A quick, lighthearted story. An anecdote from my father's mother. This is a story my father heard from his mother (my grandmother). Apparently, my grandmother was someone who could 'see' such things. When my father was a child, he was walking on a bridge with his mother, and she said, 'So-and-so's grandmother just walked by... even though she's passed away.' Another story. An old man who lived near my father's family home passed away. I forget if it was the wake or the funeral, but when my grandmother visited the house, She said, 'The deceased grandfather was standing by the lantern...'

A story my mother told me from long ago. It's something my mother heard from a colleague auntie when she was working at the factory mentioned in my previous post, 'True Story'. Apparently, when that auntie was sick at home, a black object was running around and circling inside her room. When the auntie was surprised, the black thing turned towards her, said 'I'll be back,' and then disappeared. I haven't heard what happened after that, so I don't know. I wonder what became of it.

Let's just say it was a certain junior high school in the Kansai region. There's a ghost story that's been passed down through generations, even before the era when shows like 'Sekai no Mieru Basho' (Places Where You Can See the World) were popular. I'm not sure if it was the principal's office or where exactly, but apparently, there was a creepy painting of a dog displayed there. It was said that in the middle of the night, the dog would come out of the painting and roam the school grounds, dripping blood... I didn't go to that school, and I haven't seen it with my own eyes, but it was rumored to be a truly disturbing painting. I can't find anything about it online, maybe it's faded away and disappeared since it's such an old rumor. There were also other incidents at that school, like when a Kokkuri-san session became a big deal, and I've heard other personal accounts, but perhaps another time...

From elementary school to high school, I occasionally had experiences similar to an out-of-body experience. When I was about to fall asleep, even with my eyes closed, I could see the scenery in front of me, and it felt like someone was lifting me up from my back, getting closer to the ceiling or walls. Then, when I got scared thinking I would hit something and tried to stop, I would wake up. It wasn't a complete separation of consciousness from my body where I could see myself sleeping, but it happened a few times.

There was a story about dreams, so I'll share a dream story too. It wasn't dramatic or exciting, just my heart pounding💧. In my dream, I was inside a very large temple. I was standing in the middle of a long corridor. I was walking, thinking, "Is this really a temple?" when suddenly, in the middle of the corridor, I saw a large, round coffin, the kind I'd only seen in dramas. Naturally, I was surprised. "A c-coffin!?" While I was surprised, three shrine maidens in white and red costumes appeared from a room... I was surprised again. "Why are there shrine maidens in a temple!?" Come to think of it, their costumes were slightly different, with gold ornaments. The three shrine maidens circled around the coffin, dancing, and then reached for the lid, trying to open it. Seeing this, I was stunned and thought, "Eh!? They're opening it? ⊙.☉!? Opening the coffin!?" I was flustered. "Stop!! Don't open it!!" I screamed in my mind and then woke up. I still don't understand why I had such a dream. That coffin is also a mystery. What was inside? And the shrine maidens in the temple are also a mystery.

This literally happened about 10 minutes ago... I was cycling to club activities as usual. When I was going down a gentle slope... There was a flapping sound and a swarm of something came at me?! When I looked closely, they were pretty big, flying grasshoppers 😭😭😭😭😭 It was a different kind of fear I hadn't felt in a while 😱

It's less of a scary story and more of a slightly mysterious one... I guess. This is a story my mom told me. Sorry if it's hard to read 🙇 My mom is from a certain city in Osaka Prefecture. Decades ago, she was on her way to work on her scooter one day, just like usual. She was riding on the embankment road of a Class 1 river when she saw a "giant, worm-like creature" right in the middle of the road. On the right side was the river, and on the left was a pond. The creature apparently came out of the pond, moved like an inchworm, and started crossing the road. Its size was about the same as a standard body pillow, or maybe a little smaller. The road wasn't very wide, and the path was blocked by this worm(?), so my mom stopped and waited for it to pass. According to her, a truck came up from behind and also stopped, so the truck driver must have seen it too. Eventually, the worm just slid down into the river, and my mom continued on her way to work. It was an era before smartphones, even feature phones weren't common, so she couldn't take a picture. Even now, I've searched online extensively, but I haven't found anything that quite fits.
