For lunch today, I made a quick and easy mentaiko butter pasta. I pre-sautéed some mushrooms separately, then stir-fried garlic and chili flakes in butter. I made a base sauce with clam broth and pasta water, then tossed in the cooked pasta and a retort pouch of mentaiko butter, finishing it off with the mushrooms. It was pretty tasty🍝

After agonizing over what to buy with the Amazon gift card I got for my birthday, I decided to get some frozen salmon. The umami and richness were absolutely top-notch, it just melted in my mouth. Caprese salad was just a bonus.
