みなさんの「今日は何の日」

Italian Cuisine Day (From the wordplay of 'cucina', meaning kitchen or cuisine in Italian. While Italian food is popular in Japan, Napolitan originated in Japan, and Carbonara's recipe at the time of its introduction differs from the one commonly eaten in Italy today.)

High Vision Day (Named because the vertical to horizontal ratio of high definition is 9:16. Established by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (now the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry). Additionally, because the number of horizontal scan lines on a screen is 1125, November 25th is also designated as "High Vision Day" by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (now the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications) and NHK.)

関ヶ原合戦の日 （1600（慶長5）年のこの日に関ヶ原合戦が始まったことから。 関ヶ原の由来は「関所のある原っぱ」から来たという説があり、ここが関東と関西の境目だとされている。 事実、ここで「赤いきつね」の味が分かれていたりする）

Cosmos Day (According to one theory, six months after Valentine's Day, people exchange gifts with cosmos flowers, which bloom around this time, to reaffirm their love. The word 'cosmos' comes from the Greek word 'kosmos,' meaning 'order, harmony.' The kanji '秋桜' (Autumn Cherry Blossom) became popular after the hit song of the same name by Momoe Yamaguchi.)

Accounting Management Day (Originating from the publication date of the first edition of "The Analects and the Abacus" by Eiichi Shibusawa, who recognized and practiced the importance of accounting in management. Based on "The Analects," it advocates for the coexistence of ethics and profit (=abacus), asserting that it is not good to profit solely for oneself and hoard wealth, but rather that sharing wealth with society through contributions enriches the entire nation.)

Marathon Day (It's said that on this day in 450 BC, a soldier ran from Marathon to Athens to deliver news of victory. Marathon and Athens are about 40km apart, but the current marathon distance of 42.195km originated from the distance adopted at the 7th London Olympics.)

Protein Day (Composed of 20 types of proteins that make up the human body, including 9 essential amino acids that cannot be synthesized internally, and 11 other non-essential amino acids. In Kanji, '蛋白' refers to egg white. In English, it's 'protein', derived from the Greek word 'proteios' meaning 'first' or 'primary'.)

Sewer Day (This day falls on "Nihyaku Niju Nichi," one of the 24 solar terms, approximately 220 days afterrisshun (start of spring). It was established to promote sewers, which play a role in flood prevention, during the typhoon season. Previously, it was called "National Sewer Promotion Day" and aimed to increase its adoption rate.)
