I think childhood friends were friends mostly because we were in the same school, rather than whether we clicked or not. I don't have many friends in general, and among my school friends, there's maybe only one person I'd say I really get along with. Work, money, marriage, children, parents – things differ greatly. It becomes natural for things to be different, and it gets harder to find common ground. When that happens, if you talk like you did in the old days, you might drift apart. Maybe we're no longer looking in the same direction with anyone. But even though that's sad, I also think it's unavoidable. I wish I could make new friends.
