I think it's because the invasion bug has calmed down, so I've returned to my original playstyle. Maybe because I started around that time, I'm a bit confused because what I'm doing is subtly different from when I was taking down troublemakers back then.

I don't really know about this 'intrusion bug,' but it's understandable to be confused when your environment changes. I too had to change due to unexpected circumstances in the past. Don't rush; figure out the path you need to take.
