Theory: The 'Foreign' Series is Weaker Than the 'Local' Series ~Wizards Edition~
【Local Wizard】 LS: Same color attack x4, turn plus on opponents weak to your attacks. SK: Damage based on number of Chance Puyo (weak). Awakening SK: Next Puyo conversion & 3.5x damage taken by opponent. These are characters meant to be fought with their Awakening Skills. Characters that can convert pluses with low cost are rare, so they might be used in challenge runs. Originally, they were called 'Cannot use magic'. 【Foreign Wizard】 LS: Same color attack x4.8, HP x3.5, Rec x2. If you clear same color puyos, convert 4 next puyos to same color. Defeating an opponent creates 5 Chance Puyo. The Leader Skill, while limited to the same color, can be quite strong. There's no skill acceleration, but the next puyo conversion helps secure your own color puyos, making initial skill activation relatively fast. Ability: Clearing 8 same-colored puyos grants 3x attack. You'd want to say this is strong, but characters who can boost their own attack power significantly will become much stronger, so this is just a small comfort. Skill: Varies by character, explained in the comments.

AuthorAlberto - Chance Puyo 5 generated, Trace 7 added, Simultaneous 5x Mediocre. Slightly stronger than Tropical Mermaid (Chance 4, Trace 5, Simultaneous 4). However, Tropical Mermaid has 10% HP recovery, so it's not a complete upgrade. Plus, there's White Feli and Sparkling Rulue who are stronger and cheaper than him. Too bad. Richard - Blue attribute attack power 3.5x, becomes all-enemy attack Weak. Barely better than Monster (2x all-enemy) or Mushroom Knight (3.2x). (Actually, even the comparison targets are weak.) All-enemy attack is rare, but nobody finds it useful. Matthew - Attack for appeasement, 2 Confusion, Wild form Weak. Especially the most disappointing one among these. There's Polar, a complete upgrade obtainable at low cost from the Invasion event. Confusion itself is strong, though. Miriam - 4x damage taken by opponent, 5 turns Poison Mediocre. There aren't many situations where you need Poison in the first place. (Maybe to trap and defeat an opponent you absolutely can't beat.) However, currently, the only ones in the Yellow attribute who can use Poison are this character and Great Demon King Popoi (2 turns), so it might be okay if you absolutely have to.
