Nice to meet you
I always enjoy reading your posts. Seeing all your cute cats made me want to share my first cat with you all. He was a cute male cat with a split mask-like facial marking, a 'hachiware'. We lived together for about 12 years. We said goodbye in the late autumn of the year before last, but I wonder if he thoughtfully introduced his successor before crossing the rainbow bridge. Just as if on cue, a female kitten wandered in, and along with her three unborn kittens, she has become our new family member. I'd like to introduce them too someday. As I was preparing to post this, I looked at photos of him for the first time in a long time. It was so sad, painful, and agonizing, filled with regrets, that I couldn't look at his pictures properly for the longest time. I couldn't even speak his name or talk about him with my family, but recently, I've gradually been able to talk about various things. He was a cat who loved to spend time relaxing in the garden. This is a picture of him enjoying himself, teasing us as we urged him to come inside after his garden playtime. I wonder what he's doing now. Thank you for reading🐾

Nice to meet you. That's a cool Hachiware cat, looking like a cyclops! It's always tough to say goodbye to a companion you've had for so long. We've experienced it a few times at our place too, and I like to imagine that the cats you cared for until the end are now resting peacefully on the other side of the rainbow bridge 😺 They often appear in dreams once you've had some time to process the grief.

Because of the sadness from having to say goodbye to my first pet after only two years when I was a child, I still can't get a pet even as an adult. The 12 years you've spent with your companion must have been incredibly precious for them too.
