I gave up around stage 10 😭 I'm a free-to-play player, but even with all the retries and time-limited power-ups, I barely made it past stage 1.

I'm at stage 23 without spending any money. If you level up things like the Officer School during Gold Rush, you can manage it! It gets really tough around level 18.
