The Most Transparent Story in the World
A work by Hikaru Sugii. This is the first book I impulsively bought, drawn in by the blurb on the obi that read, "Absolutely Impossible to E-book!?" The story is a mystery novel, but it has a gimmick that can only be done with a physical book. I was reading along, wondering, "Where is it?" until a certain sentence made me realize the gimmick with a sudden (ﾟДﾟ)ﾊｯ!! moment, and I couldn't help but flip back and reread it. I was surprised by this unique gimmick only possible with print!

I read this. My hands stopped turning the pages when I noticed the hidden mechanisms in the story lol. Mr. Hikaru Sugii always puts surprising elements in his works, making them really fun to read.

I absolutely love this~! I got goosebumps the moment I noticed the trick, and I also turned back the pages, flipping through it multiple times to reread it 🤭 It's definitely a work that should be read in print. I read the second one too, and even without such tricks, it was still a story I loved as a work.

It's that book rumored to have interesting mechanics, right? What could it be... Since the title is 'Transparent,' maybe something appears if you hold it up to the light and read through the paper!? That's my guess, but what do you think? I don't mind spoilers, so could you give me a little hint? I'm so curious I can only sleep at night!
