Currently, indigo dye is the best all-around, so unless there's a specific reason not to, I think continuing with indigo is fine.

In the current meta, if you're focusing on PvE, go for Yellow or Green. For PvP, Red is the way to go. Blue seems strong against Red, but unless it's PvP-focused, Red builds are rare, so Blue often ends up being a bit 'meh'. However, the devs have recently started making Blue kinda OP, so who knows for the future. Sky? Nether? Right now, they just eat up a ton of resources and become obsolete. Nether used to be strong back in the day though...
