Dried squid, jerky, and stuff....

I really love things like dried squid and jerky, but right now I'm craving some dried salmon.... I wonder if it's better to make it myself or buy it.... I love salmon so much in general, I actually have some at home. Snacks like these aren't exactly cheap, but I don't know how much they'll shrink when dried, so buying them might actually be cheaper.... Maybe I'll just grill some salmon and eat it.
