[Weekend Mystery] Are You a God?
As someone studying folklore, I was heading to a village where I heard they had "unusual customs." On the bus slowly making its way up the mountain road, there were about 10 passengers. I was leisurely gazing at the changing scenery. "Slow down! You can go faster than this!" suddenly, one man irritably exclaimed. "As you can see, it's a mountain road, so we're driving safely," the driver replied. Naturally. The man, unconvinced, raised his voice further. "Shut up! The customer is God! Do as I say!" Then, the other passengers, who had been quiet, started to murmur amongst themselves. And one passenger asked the man, "Hey, are you God?" The man was taken aback for a moment, but then "Yeah, that's right. Tell the driver for me, will ya?" To be continued-

AuthorThe inside of the car became much noisier than before. "Hey, a godâ" I thought the driver was talking to a passenger, but the bus picked up speed and is accelerating faster and faster. And then, the bus stopped in front of a small torii gate and a dark, narrow path leading further in. When the doors opened, all the passengers except me took the man from earlier and went down that path. "Hey, wait! Where are you taking me?" "Finally, a new god has arrived. %@& will be pleasedâ" The driver, whose eyes met mine as I stood there stunned, asked me: "Are you a god too?" This is a story I heard from a grandpa I became good friends with~ I don't know if it's true or not~. My grandpa liked Ken Shimura ð

I'm glad you made it home safely! I wonder what happened after that? It was such an interesting story, I'm curious about what happened next! In historical texts, there are cases of people being revered as living gods! People will do anything to protect themselves from disaster! Even now, there are apparently people who disappear every year, we just don't know about it! I wonder what fate awaits those who become gods?
