The current one I'm doing has a lot of interrogations. But plot-wise, it seems like it was meant to be a lot. Is it a bug, or is it correct? I don't really know...

If you explain it assuming it's the truth, but they still say 'That's a lie,' then it's probably a questioning bug. If they accept it with 'Oh, really, but...' and continue, then I think it's inherent.
