I'm worried
I'm currently on a limited express train for a long trip today. As it's a holiday weekend, the train is very crowded. So, there's something that's been bothering me a bit, and I'd like to mention it here. I'm concerned about the sound leakage from earphones! I heard a 'shaka-shaka' sound and thought it was someone next to me, but they weren't wearing earphones. I thought, 'That's strange?' and when I looked back, it was the person diagonally behind me. You see this sometimes, don't you? I wonder how loud they're listening. Could it be damaging their ears? Or are their ears already bad, so they have to play it loud? It's puzzling. Perhaps they have trouble hearing everyday conversations too. It makes me quite worried. That said, I really wish they would turn the volume down. People often don't realize they're being disruptive. I want to be mindful of my own actions too. 'Observe others to correct yourself.' A good lesson.

It's not just people with leaky earphones, but also those who blast music in their cars at surprisingly loud volumes, isn't it? I wonder if their ears are okay? I worry about their eardrums. Anyway, have a safe trip if you're going somewhere far!

With open-ear earphones, sound can leak even if you don't turn the volume up too high. It seems to depend on the environment, but if you listen to music at a very loud volume, I also worry if you might miss important announcements.

I also often see people watching videos without earphones or with sound leaking on the train during my commute home... I basically keep the volume low enough to hear announcements, but I need to be careful.
