Will I get stronger with enhancements?
It feels like there's a lot of luck involved. Even when I level up my cards, I don't really feel like I've gotten stronger. My opponent's strength isn't fixed either, so that might be part of it.

As you mentioned, there's also the luck of the draw (→merge) when placing your units, and I think luck is a pretty strong factor considering the opponent's level and party composition matchups, ^^;;; But that's also one of the fun parts, filling those gaps with training and team building, so I hope this helps, ^^>

Ah, a quick add-on: You can equip more traits at level breaks: 8, 10, 13, and 15 (Max), so you can power up quite a bit at these points. ^^>
