I really can't stand this person.
'It's only natural to be seen as unfair by those who go to school, study, work part-time, or work hard in club activities, if you don't try to fix or improve the reasons for truancy and just stay home doing whatever you like. If truancy is allowed, then eventually all Japanese people will become truant and schools will disappear.' I guess the commenter lives in a world where bullying doesn't exist. It's a big mistake to think truancy is easy. As I prepared to go to school, the closer it got to school time, the more nauseous I felt and couldn't move. I had a rejection reaction to school itself. There were times I cried out of frustration for not being able to go. I believe there aren't idiots like this commenter, but just in case, I'll say this: I've had severe skin problems since I was little, and no matter how hard I tried, I'd get acne all over my face. Because of that, I was bullied from 1st to 6th grade, even after transferring schools. That became a trauma, and I became overly conscious of people's eyes, and I became truant because I had no one to talk to. It's not like I became truant because I wanted to. Truancy is allowed? Is it not okay? I don't understand at all what's wrong with it.

People like this make it even harder to go to school, don't they? I don't get why people complain about kids who skip school without even knowing the reason lol

AuthorMy teacher was also terrible in their own way. Without even knowing the reason for my absence, they said things like, 'You're just being weak,' 'Everyone else is normal,' 'You have exams coming up, everyone is your enemy.' This was from a teacher I'd known for only half a year, someone who knew nothing about me. For context, this person was the head of the grade level and was known for showing favoritism, so students were divided on whether they liked him or not. Looking back now, I realize it was a mistake to take the words of someone who knew so little so seriously. But at the time, I was in 9th grade, and it was the last day of school before summer break. I had forced myself to go to school, was worrying about exams, and then this happened at the entrance hall as I was leaving. I held back tears, listened until the end, and then fled home. After that, I stopped going to school altogether starting from after summer break. I didn't want to see that teacher. I thought, 'They wouldn't understand anyway.' I just wished that, at the very least, a teacher would have been on my side. With all the pressure from others, hearing something like that... I vividly remember that day a year ago. 'Weakness.' That word stuck with me and wouldn't leave. I cried all the way home, feeling so frustrated, even though I had been trying to attend school, even if I was late. Now, I'm attending a correspondence high school and having fun with my friends at my own pace.
