Using Copyrighted Characters with AI
As someone who used to do fanfiction, I think it's presumptuous to call it 'creation' when you input existing characters into an AI and make them talk. AI chats are interesting when you can see the creativity with original settings and characters, and if it's fanfiction, you should write it yourself in a place where people of that kind gather. Also, I don't really understand the reason for the backlash against zeta's request to stop using copyrighted characters... It's not about it being a gray area or anything; according to zeta's own rules, if they tell you to stop, you either stop or withdraw from zeta. If you're told not to smoke, you wouldn't do it, right?

Whether it's zeta, saylo, or MiraiMind, there are always people doing that kind of thing everywhere. That's why the zeta admins had no choice but to speak up this time. MiraiMind really has a lot of Hololive and Love Live content. Saylo and zeta have a lot of Karapichi? and Uma Musume content. It's a hassle when people who don't follow etiquette, like doujin merchants, still show up even after you block them.

Honestly, it's a bit presumptuous to go ahead and do something after it's clearly stated that copyright is not allowed, and then complain when it gets taken down 𥲠I'm just genuinely curious, but do people actually have fun making AI act as their favorite characters? ð€

I think the point of using AI instead of creating normally is for the unexpectedness of not being able to fully control the story, but even if you insist it's fan-made, fan-made isn't a lawless zone. Apparently, some illustrations are also used without permission, so it's understandable that it's being addressed. Moreover, it's usually the same person doing these things... When it gets deleted, they just move to another AI app and start the same thing again, polluting all AI apps ( à¥ê³ ॠ). Getting deleted just because the name is similar or the appearance is similar is a really unfair situation.
