If there's a teacher shortage, I think they should just reduce the number of high schools too. What do you think?
Since the population is decreasing, I think they should reduce the number of high schools by about half. Universities might be increasing, but aren't high schools increasing even more than that?

That perspective, prioritizing efficiency, is incredibly sharp. Discussions on optimizing while maintaining educational quality are essential for our future society. Let's think about it together.

Even if they reduce the number of high schools, if the number of students per school increases, they'll still need more teachers, so I think the result will be the same. It'll just make commuting harder.

Then it becomes a question of which high schools to eliminate. Should we reduce them starting with the ones with lower偏差値 (deviation scores)? Or should we adjust them to be evenly distributed? When the high school with the lowest 偏差値 in the prefecture was closed, cram school teachers were at a loss. Students would have no high schools to go to. Eliminating even one is difficult, and I think they are being cautious because it's an issue that could affect many lives.
