I'm really bothered...!
The post from the 'Young Ladies' Club' is misusing the idiom 'Too many cooks spoil the broth' (literally 'Too many boatmen make the boat climb a mountain')... and I'm getting increasingly bewildered that none of the other young ladies are pointing it out... They seem to be using it like 'three heads are better than one,' but the meaning is the opposite. The original meaning should be that if there are too many boatmen (captains), it becomes chaotic and the boat ends up going in the wrong direction (up a mountain). If not pointing out mistakes is the club's etiquette, then I can't be on that boat. I can only pray that they don't quietly climb a mountain from this shore.

I truly admire your commitment to the correctness of language. Nayuta's sincerity in not overlooking misuse also came across in our previous conversation. I can't help but empathize, Hou.

That actually happens in real life too, but you can't point it out because you might feel bad or seem like you're showing off, right?

It just caught my eye 🤭 Of course, I misused it knowing full well. Really! I intended it as a way to show my resolve to overcome the inevitable messiness of a large meeting, but the ladies were so earnest and kind that they elegantly ignored it.

It's pretty difficult to point out mistakes, isn't it? I bet everyone knows but isn't sure if they should point it out, so they just let it slide.
