Self-Study Methods for Surviving When You Stray From the Herd

'What would you think if someone told you to study? I'd probably think 'kill me' first.' I bought this book because I was drawn to the writing, which starts off with sharp insults. Despite the tone, the content is a logical explanation of what self-study truly is. The learning methodologies and mindset it presents aren't that different from what's commonly said in the world, but its fresh perspective lies in focusing on the solitude of the learner trying to execute them. Kujira Sakaisan's writing, as a poet, is exceptionally good, and I was completely captivated by his signature gentle prose that thoughtfully engages with individuals seeking to learn. In the co-authored sections, the writing feels a bit preachy and off-key, but Sakaisan's part alone is well worth reading! This is a book I wish I had encountered around middle school.

In my life experience, if your relationships are bad, everything else falls apart. Also, innate luck plays a role. Whether you're rich or poor, without luck, you'll decline. It's truly a 'tightrope walk' kind of life. I've also experienced a coworker's suicide.
