Last Full Measure: The Truth of an Unsung Hero

It's been a while since I saw this movie, but I remember being so moved 😭✨ And the fact that it's a true story… I'm a sucker for true stories 🥹 A social drama depicting the untold truth of William H. Pitsenbarger, a real U.S. Air Force pararescueman who saved the lives of many soldiers during the Vietnam War. ~Synopsis~ 1999, USA. Air Force Secretary Huffman begins an investigation into the Medal of Honor nomination for a soldier that has been petitioned for over 30 years. In 1966, Pitsenbarger, a member of the Air Force Pararescue team, heads to Vietnam to rescue an Army platoon isolated by an enemy ambush. However, due to heavy fighting, the helicopter cannot land, so he descends to the ground alone to carry out rescue operations. Tragically, he is struck by enemy fire and does not return. As Huffman gathers testimonies from veterans rescued by Pitsenbarger at the time, he uncovers the existence of a shocking conspiracy that had been blocking his Medal of Honor award.
