Lunch is Kishimen

Today I ventured out to a place famous for kishimen. This is the sudachi kishimen I had for lunch. It came as a set with a bite-sized yuzu rice (definitely not bite-sized) and one tempura. I ate so much sudachi at home, but it was the first thing pictured on the menu, so I ordered it... It was refreshing and delicious though! 😋 I chose eggplant for the tempura because the menu photo showed it, and I figured it would go well with it. The tempura is served freshly fried right in front of you, and they said to choose from three kinds of salt, whichever you like. Of course, I tried a little bit of all three! 😊 On top of the rice was a half-boiled egg tempura. I was surprised by the dropper for the soy sauce! I'm full now.

The 'one-bite' tamago rice wasn't 'one-bite' at all, I couldn't help but laugh 😂 And using a dropper for soy sauce is so unique and funny!

Sudachi Kichimen is refreshing and delicious, isn't it! I didn't even know what sudachi was, so I was surprised by its appearance lol. The Kichimen and tempura in the photo look delicious too!
