You've probably heard of imase, the J-pop artist who gained immense popularity in Korea with 'Night Dancer'. I remember finding more of imase's songs after listening to 'Night Dancer' back then, and I recently started listening to them again. That's when I discovered the song 'Aoba' (青葉). The song has a calm atmosphere, and the lyrics themselves feel like they're woven together with a sense of 'greenery'. I personally really enjoyed it. As a side note, this song particularly comes to mind when I'm walking alone at night :) (Even though the actual lyrics talk about the dawn breaking in the morning...)

This is a song by Geu_nyang called 'I Wish Our Love Was Like a Film (Film Love)'! Maybe because it's indie music, it's calm and the lyrics are really emotional and beautiful! My favorite part is "I wish our love was like a film So we can love even the long wait Let's engrave this heart here now The moment we capture our eternity in frozen time" Aren't these lyrics so pretty?? It's a song that's truly moving when you listen to it while walking in the evening or before sleeping.

This is the song [Workaholic] sung by Ha Dong Kyun, included in the September issue of Monthly Yoon Jong Shin 2019. It's a song connected to 'We'll Probably Break Up' from the August issue of Monthly Yoon Jong Shin. The August issue depicts the narrative just before a breakup, and the September issue depicts the narrative right after. Originally, it was a song Yoon Jong Shin intended to sing himself, but after seeing Ha Dong Kyun's performance on an entertainment program, Yoon Jong Shin offered him the song, and it came to fruition.

Quite a few of you probably liked this song. A lovely, lively, yet powerful vocal tone. 'Leisure' sung by Jang Yeon-ju means a song dedicated to you. It contains the fluttering heart of a woman confessing her love. A song I'd want to sing to someone if I had someone I liked. I'm ready to sing it, but I don't have anyone.

It's not just fast; Plum's unique, beautiful, and dramatic melody line is alive, making you feel an overwhelming narrative throughout the listen.

I think Banshōka (晩餐歌) is an absolute must-mention when talking about JPOP. First off, this was created by someone named tuki when they were a student, and I honestly can't find a single flaw in either the lyrics or the melody, which is unbelievable for something made by a student. So, when Mashu's hit song 'bling bang bong' hit #1 on Spotify, Banshōka took the #2 spot right after. It's been covered so many times by idols, VTubers (I really liked the covers by Anbo and Iomong), and many others. Recently, Taeyeon covered it, and while I personally think she matched the melody well, the feeling between Japanese and Korean is quite different, which I found a bit disappointing. Today's recommended song is "Memoir" by VINXEN. This song is the last track on VINXEN's album "Similar Person," released when he was 21. It's fun to listen to because it has many lyrics related to his songs released before he turned 21. The overall feeling of the song seems to contain regret and guilt, and it feels like an outpouring of emotions. Nanahoshi Orchestra - Hatsu Uta This song is incredibly high-pitched. When I listen to covers or the original, I'm like 'Wow~', but when I try to sing it myself, I wonder how they did it? Recently, someone on our board introduced a song they listened to during their chuunibyou phase, which reminded me of songs I've listened to since my teenage years. Back when I was young, the word 'chuunibyou' didn't exist. ^^ A personal masterpiece that eased the countless ups and downs of life. When I was struggling, When I was exhausted, When I was lonely, When I missed someone, When I felt wronged, It was the ultimate motivation that gave me a 'back-slap' of encouragement.
