Bookshelf Showcase?
The user rules said to showcase my bookshelf, so I'm giving it a try lol (Honestly, I just want to brag). It's a bit messy near there now, so I'm uploading a pic from a few months ago after I organized it lol. There are books filling up half the space behind the picture frame on the top right. I think they're probably 'Return of the Mount Hua Sect' and 'Black Dragon's Tale'. But the titles are all smudged lol.

[Review] Those Who Wish to See the Aesthetics of Direction... "Trigun"
(Purchase proof is on the very last page...) I tend to buy ebooks, so it's difficult to provide a bookshelf 인증샷 (proof shot). This is a manga that depicts events on a desert-like planet called 'No Man's Land,' centered around 'Vash,' a man who insists on 'not killing.' Initially, given the desert setting, it progresses in a style that mixes Western movies with Japanese comedy. The story expands and deepens in "Trigun Maximum" (14 volumes total) after the prologue "Trigun" (2 volumes total). If it weren't for copyright issues, I would have taken a few pictures... but the art... is truly beautiful. Personally, I thought Volume 10 of Trigun Maximum was the most beautiful story... If you start it, you absolutely must read up to Volume 10... Recommended for: Those familiar with and who prefer old-school humor and classic manga storytelling. Those who like detailed and thrilling art. Those who enjoy action. Those who have read "Blood Blockade Battlefront" in its manga form. Not recommended for: Those sensitive to the sexual humor typical of older works.

[Review] Kakegurui Twin
This tells the story of Saotome Mary, another protagonist of the main Kakegurui series. It depicts the period before the goddess of gambling, Jabami Yumeko, transferred to the school, and you can see that Saotome also has considerable talent in gambling, even if she's overshadowed by Yumeko. Perhaps because of her blonde twin tails and her sadistic nature, she gained considerable popularity among the Kakegurui series. However, for me, Jabami Yumeko is the only one. Personally, I prefer black hair more. Saotome, who was doing so well in Twin, gets picked on by Yumeko in the main series for no good reason and gets defeated, humiliatingly losing and becoming livestock. Her desperate climb, step by step, to get revenge on Yumeko is also quite a sight to behold. So, you should learn to read people better... If you enjoyed the main series, you'll likely enjoy Kakegurui Twin as well. Personally, I love Mahjong so much that I wish there were Mahjong-related content. No, I'm telling you, Mahjong can totally be rigged too? You say cheating in gambling? You have to cheat to win, right? (?)

[Review] Kakegurui
The title, Kakegurui (賭狂い), means 'gambling lunatic'. It depicts the events that unfold when Yumeko Jabami, who declares 'I'm the craziest one around here~', transfers to Hyakkaou Academy, where social hierarchy is determined by gambling. The art style is quite exquisite, and as expected of a gambling-crazed character, she displays immense madness. In the original manga, there's a scene where Yumeko, dressed as an idol, sings a farewell song. The anime also features a scene where she sings an idol song in her school uniform, so the anime is highly recommended too. The 'Bami' in her name, Yumeko Jabami, refers to a branch of the Momobami clan. Many incredibly overpowered characters come from this Bami clan. Isn't this Kakegurui world essentially run by the Bami clan? If you want to see the thrill of gambling and the characters distorted by it, watch this series. The process of a very pretty character with black hair, black stockings, who speaks politely, going mad with gambling, crushing her opponents☆, and becoming the school's supreme authority is exhilarating the more you watch. The male protagonist, Ryota Suzui, is one lucky guy.

[Review] Journey to the West (Hoshin Engi)
A masterpiece and Fujisaki Ryu's representative work. This work reinterprets the classic Chinese novel, one of the Four Great Classical Novels of China, for modern times. The protagonists are all charming, and especially Fujisaki-sensei, who is serious about costumes, makes the female characters' outfits incredibly gorgeous and not at all dated even by today's standards. Yuanshi Tianzun informs the protagonist Tai Gongwang about the Investiture of the Gods plan and orders him to carry it out. The Investiture of the Gods plan means creating a celestial realm between the immortal and human realms and imprisoning evil immortals there, a so-called culling operation. Tai Gongwang, having lost his entire clan to Daji in his childhood, accepts this plan. To confront Daji, he obtains the magical artifact Taishinpen and the divine beast Sibuxiang, and then embarks on a journey for the Investiture of the Gods plan. The side story, Celestial Book, deals with the story of Xi Mi's younger brother, Gong Xian, and also includes character settings. The Celestial Book is essentially a promotional tool for the remake anime, but I recommend not watching the remake. The pacing is too fast, and the final scene where Daji becomes a goddess is omitted.

[Manga] Tougen Anki
Oni, Ichinoze Shiki, who has been at war with Momotaro for a long time, lives without knowing he is an Oni. One day, a Momotaro attacks his home. Confronted, Shiki awakens his Oni powers and enrolls in Rasetsu Academy, growing alongside his companions. This work is still ongoing, with 26 volumes published. The second season is scheduled to air in Japan on October 2nd this year. Honestly, the art style in the first volume might be a bit polarizing, but as the serialization continued, the author's art style became more refined, reaching a point where it's unlikely to be disliked. The story feels a bit cliché-heavy. The anime has some animation flaws, but personally, I found it enjoyable due to the star-studded voice cast. Overall, while the manga's art and story might be divisive, the anime is worth a try, even just a taste, especially for the voice acting. Those who enjoy action series will likely find it good. However, if you dislike 3D processing in action scenes, it's recommended not to watch.

[Manga] The Brothers' Conflict (Tsugai)
Born as twins dividing night and day, Yur and Asa were separated when they came of age. Yur lived unaware of this fact, raised by Grandma Yamah, until one day mysterious attackers appeared in the village. Eventually, Yur leaves the village, gradually uncovering the secrets hidden within his family and village. Meanwhile, Asa also moves towards his own goals, and the conflict between various forces surrounding the two begins. Yur and Asa pursue the truth in their own ways, in different places. This work is still ongoing, with 12 volumes published so far. It's by Hiromu Arakawa, famous for Fullmetal Alchemist. The first season of the anime has concluded, and it has been officially announced that a second season will be produced. The anime is made by the same team that produced FMA, so the direction is absolutely insane (purely subjective). The manga is also incredibly enjoyable, with both the art and story being top-notch. Overall, I'd say you'd be missing out if you don't read it. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys action series.

[Manga] Shinobigoto
Yodaka, known as the strongest in the Public Security Shinobi Unit that conceals its body and punishes evil, is ordered to escort the high school girl Mukai Aoi. Yodaka, who has the worst communication skills, was supposed to blend in among the students unnoticed and protect Aoi, but ends up becoming friends with Aoi, the person he's supposed to be guarding. It's a story about fighting enemies secretly with other shinobi assigned to the same mission, all while Aoi is unaware. This work is still ongoing, and 7 volumes have been released so far. I love action manga, so I bought it as soon as it came out after reading the synopsis. I think the content is not bad by my standards, and I also like the art style. There are parts that feel a bit similar to Marriagetoxin with the whole 'bloodline' thing, but overall, it's neither extremely fun nor boring. If you like action manga, this is a work worth trying out at least once.

Black Trick
This is the Japanese crime thriller manga [Black Trick], serialized from 2004 to 2013. It's a story about the protagonist Kurosaki, a 'black heron' who deceives scammers. In this manga, there are mainly three types of scammers: 'white herons' who deceive ordinary people for financial gain, 'red herons' who use seduction to scam, and 'black herons' who prey on and ruin both white and red herons. The main plot is about Kurosaki, who, after his father was scammed by a white heron in his childhood, leading to the ruin of his family and the death of his loved ones, became a scamming black heron to devour all the scammers in existence. It has been praised as a masterpiece that sharply points out the dark side of modern society and a must-read for modern people. While some find the repetitive pattern of Kurosaki being scammed and then using reverse psychology to scam them and bring about their downfall to be boring in the long run, it's an interesting work that allows us to contemplate the limitations of the judicial system and the legitimacy of private sanctions.

[Review] Witch War: The Witches of Ability Kill Each Other
The title itself is the content of this manga. 32 Eastern and Western villains (witches) kill each other to achieve their own wishes. The 32 witches are summoned to another world by the demon queen Agrath Bart Mahrat just before their deaths. The demon queen declares that she will grant the wish of the last one standing after a series of one-on-one battles (Walpurgis). The protagonist is Joan of Arc. I won't spoil Joan of Arc's wish. Each witch has her own unique ability, and they are all charming and overpowered. And there are a whopping 32 villains, some of whom are recorded as villains but aren't actually evil, while others truly are. There are often cases where you think, 'This character won't die...!' but they do. Since they fight to kill, there are some brutal scenes, but compared to even more gruesome things, this is quite tame. What's exciting is that you genuinely don't know who will win until the very end. If you want to see a battle royale of pretty girls, I recommend this work.
