This is the OCN drama [The Guest], which can be called the pinnacle of Korean occult horror dramas. It's a 16-episode drama that aired on Wednesdays and Thursdays on OCN in 2018, and it received good reviews for combining shamanism and exorcism rituals. The main plot follows a psychic, a detective, and a priest, each with different backgrounds, as they track down the evil spirit 'Park Il-do' and uncover bizarre crimes committed by ghosts (Son). At the time, it generated immense buzz and a cult following, becoming a must-mention drama when discussing Korean occult dramas, and many people still wish for a Season 2 for this hit series.

Hello everyone! Wow, a drama recommendation board, that's totally my jam. I'll be recommending and getting recommendations a lot from now on. Please take care of me!

Hello everyone! I'm someone who finishes their daily tasks and enjoys watching dramas. I happened to stumble upon this place and was curious about interesting dramas, so I joined.

Actually, I joined because of Jeongmu-mu's board. I'll try my best to keep up with the drama.

It's a well-made crime psychological thriller that's worth watching just for the overwhelming acting showdown between veteran actors Son Hyun-joo and Kim Myung-min. Chemistry you can trust: The 'paternal love standoff' between a righteous judge (Son Hyun-joo) and a ruthless power figure (Kim Myung-min), each trying to protect their sons, powerfully drives the entire drama. The tension is immense, conveyed just through the actors' gazes and breaths. Breathtaking plot and immersion: The psychological warfare between those trying to cover up a son's hit-and-run accident and those seeking revenge by uncovering the hidden truth unfolds at a rapid pace. The constant suspense each episode keeps you highly immersed. Ambiguous line between good and evil: Through the choices of characters who abandon law and justice to protect their children, it poses a profound question: "How far is justifiable?" Post-midpoint plausibility: Compared to the tension built up until the midpoint, some plot developments or character actions in the latter half are perceived as somewhat forced. Polarizing ending: Rather than a clean, satisfying resolution, it leaves you with the characters' tragic choices and a bitter aftertaste.

Please recommend a drama.

The work I'm introducing this time is the SBS drama "Mantis: The Killer's Outing," which aired in 2025. This drama is a high-density crime thriller that unfolds as a copycat crime occurs 20 years after the brutal serial killer 'Mantis' was caught, and a detective engages in an unexpected joint investigation with the 'Mantis' mother, whom he has hated his entire life, to solve the case. Personally, I found Go Hyun-jung's acting in this drama truly impressive. She expressed the cold and chilling atmosphere of the character Jang Yi-shin so well that just watching her performance gave me goosebumps. Moreover, thanks to the actors' performances and the suspenseful plot, it was a drama I could immerse myself in. If you like crime thrillers or are looking for a suspenseful drama, I think it's worth watching at least once! It's also an 8-episode drama, so you can focus on the story without it dragging on, so I highly recommend everyone give it a watch.

The second drama I'd like to introduce is 'Doctor Cha'. This drama aired in 2023 and stars Uhm Jung-hwa, Kim Byung-chul, and others. 'Doctor Cha' is a drama about Cha Jeong-suk, a 20-year housewife who becomes a first-year resident, and her journey to mend her fractured life. Cha Jeong-suk, who had lived her life for her family as a full-time housewife, faces a sudden serious illness, prompting her to re-examine her life. During this process, she discovers her husband's shocking secret, which completely shakes her world. Ultimately, Cha Jeong-suk rediscovers her long-forgotten dream and begins her residency training to become a doctor after 20 years. It's a heartwarming and humorous coming-of-age drama that depicts a woman who put her own life on hold for her family, as she finds her way back to herself. The drama offers the fun of watching whether Cha Jeong-suk can successfully complete her residency training started at a late age, and how she will rebuild her life.

I really love dramas and I enjoyed this one a lot too! Highly recommend!
