I just got 4 SSRs in a row, then one SR, and then another SSR... Does this probability even make sense..? But why do I keep missing the rate-up...

It's just so, so amazing that I'm getting 4 consecutive SSR characters. Of course, it's off-rate, but I think this is the first time I've seen this in almost 1 year and 6 months of playing this game... Even though it's off-rate though...

Honestly, since I got SSRs three times in a row, I figured I wouldn't get the character at all...

If you had to pick between Black Tā and Black Tōdo, I'd recommend Black Tōdo. Both are top-tier in their respective elemental melee damage, so it's not simply about who's stronger. Black Tā has higher firepower in both short-term and long-term battles than Tōji, but Tōji is a strong alternative, so if you've already invested heavily in him, he can largely cover the role of a 환 (Hwan) elemental melee damage dealer. On the other hand, Black Tōdo is a top-tier 야 (Ya) elemental melee damage dealer. If a friend triggers a Black Slash, he follows up with a guaranteed Black Slash, and even counters when hit. With a partner like Kalta or SP Yata who can reliably trigger Black Slashes, you can significantly boost your 야 (Ya) elemental melee force by maximizing both his main damage and additional attacks. Therefore, if you have Tōji and also Kalta/Yata, I'd prioritize Black Tōdo. Conversely, if you don't have Tōji or your 환 (Hwan) elemental melee force is weak, Black Tā's priority significantly increases. If you don't have a Black Slash partner to use with Black Tōdo, it's better to go for Black Tā first. With Pyeonsal, 0.2, and Pugask coming later, I recommend choosing based on these criteria rather than trying to get both.

Should I definitely pull for Black Tassel if I already have Touji? Touji is still a strong dealer in the Cursed energy skill build. He's easy to use, focusing on his first skill without consuming much main resource, and his high survivability makes him stable for high-difficulty content. So, if you've already invested in Touji, you can still form a Cursed energy skill team without Black Tassel. However, purely in terms of performance, Black Tassel is a step above. With his 3rd skill 'Fierce Assault' and a guaranteed 2100% 'Black Flash' ultimate, he delivers higher burst damage in short battles. Even after his ultimate, he can build up his main resource again to repeat the same high damage, making him competitive in long battles as well. For both short and long fights, Black Tassel is clearly the superior choice for damage output. Therefore, there's no need to skip Black Tassel just because you have Touji. However, if Touji can already handle current Cursed energy content sufficiently, and you also need to save for later units like Heavenly Restriction, 0.2, and Fugasc, you might lower the priority. Conversely, if you aim to create the absolute best Cursed energy skill team, then pulling for Black Tassel is the right move.
