Do you watch the news a lot?
When I was young, I wasn't interested in the news, so even when I got the right to vote, I just picked names without knowing who was who. I think it started around the time President Park was impeached. Maybe it's because I'm getting older, but news and politics have become interests, and I find myself checking Naver News several times a day. However, I don't spend much time on it. I just look at the headlines and don't read the body of the articles. If something seems important, I'll skim the comments to gauge public sentiment, which is a good way to avoid wasting time. 99% of the news is about bad things like incidents and accidents, so it's better for your mental health not to watch it. You might see one news story about someone doing a good deed a day, if you're lucky? The world is curious and full of variety, but sometimes ignorance is bliss.

Same here lol. When I was a kid, my dad was always watching the news, and I'd get bored and want to watch cartoons... Now my son asks me, 'Mom, why do you keep watching the news?' lol. Though honestly, I just have it on while I do other things haha.

News comments are all just mockery, criticism, and divisive remarks, so I don't really recommend checking public sentiment through comments.

I read the news but don't look at the comments. Especially on Naver or Daum, the comments for each article tend to be extremely biased towards one side. They should acknowledge what's done well and what's done poorly, but politics on both are just too extreme, and I don't even want to look at the comments because of the political posts from crazy people on non-political articles.
