Is Feed Recommendation Also 70% Luck, 30% Skill?

I'm Flo Detective, always experimenting and investigating when curious. If I post something, it usually gets on the recommended feed list within about 5 minutes. If the post is long and substantial, it'll usually appear higher up, but sometimes it gets posted lower and then suddenly skyrockets. The order in the recommended feed goes up with more views or comments, and drops down as time passes or new users climb up. There are occasional weird cases, though. When you post, some get attention and some just quietly disappear. The reason this isn't entirely controllable is that the situation when your post hits real-time or the recommended feed is crucial. If a flood of posts suddenly appears in real-time, it's easy to get buried. The same applies to the recommended feed. You need to be at the top to get exposure. People don't scroll as much as you'd think. Is it due to finger arthritis? Posting during peak hours might be important, but I believe the timing of the post and when/how the AI pushes it also play a role. Luck can be a factor here too. Even if we pretend otherwise, we're all attention seekers, and attention is 💕.
