I'm genuinely curious, what's the point of attack mode? Normal mode is somewhat manageable, but attack mode just seems to decide everything based on stats from the start. I don't understand why it was made. If this is how it's going to be, it would be better to just unify the chances. As it is now, it just feels like a way to encourage spending money.

Attack mode is just a stat battle, so if your stats aren't good, you can't even compete.
