Discord Demons
I joined a guild and they keep telling me to join their Discord, which is really stressing me out. But guilds are essential for fast leveling... If only they'd put it in the description, I could avoid them. Many guilds mention it in their announcements, which you can only see after joining. I blindly clicked 'Quick Join' and got caught, so I recommend being careful when joining a guild. They say you're banned from guild content for 24 hours if you leave. I was quiet, so they thought I was a foreigner and whispered in English, 'Why don't you come to Discord like the leader said?' I eventually couldn't stand it and left. What was funny was seeing guild names like 'Find Freedom' or ones implying they dislike Discord, which made me feel a sense of kinship ^^.. +Update) I rejoined and found out the 24-hour penalty popup was a lie. You can participate in all guild content.

I'm also running a PUBG clan, and since our clan Discord is freeform, I think it was a good decision to do it this way.

So foreign guilds have Discord connection issues, huh? For Korean guilds, it's not just about attendance, they often expect you to be online frequently... Since the game pretty much revolves around the guild, they tend to kick you if you can't log in much. I ended up quitting the game. Seems like a lot of people are playing now because of the event on Plo... Good luck with the game!

It's a different game, but back in the day, I was playing some game called Royal Clash or something because of a hidden quest. Everyone was in foreign clans, so I joined just to get help with building. Then the clan leader asked for my personal Discord ID via whisper. After chatting, he said, 'This game is dead, but I know a game really well, I'll send you the link, let's play together.' I immediately blocked him on Discord and left the clan.

I joined a strong guild, acted a bit clueless, and just typed a few Chinese characters. No one talked to me, which was nice lol

You'll often see guilds like that while playing. If you just don't talk while being active in the guild, they usually kick you. In many games, you can immediately rejoin another guild after being kicked.

Honestly, you should be suspicious of places that ask you to join their Discord or open KakaoTalk.
