Am I being too sensitive?

I ordered Sulbing (a Korean shaved ice dessert) for delivery around 3 PM after lunch today. When the delivery arrives, I usually hear a knock instead of the doorbell, wait about a minute after confirming the elevator is going down, and then open the door to receive the food. Today, I did the same: I confirmed the elevator was going down and opened my front door about a minute later. My apartment has a structure where there's an additional wooden fence-like outer gate in front of the main front door. It's a typical apartment layout with units on either side of the elevator. Opposite the elevator, there's a door leading to the stairs, and that door is almost always open. I had written in the delivery instructions, 'Please leave the food in front of the door and knock.' So, I expected the food to be placed inside the wooden fence, right in front of my main door. It's a structure where you need to step a couple of paces inside the wooden fence to see the front door, so it seemed natural. However, today, although I clearly heard two knocks, the shaved ice was left outside the wooden fence. Thinking, 'Does this person have arms that stretch like Luffy's from One Piece?', I reached out to push the wooden fence. Just then, the delivery person suddenly popped out from the door connecting to the stairs, startling me so much that I quickly closed the door and went back inside.

Oh my gosh, that sounds like a really scary situation. You're definitely not being too sensitive, so don't worry about that. It's a huge relief that you handled it well.

I was so surprised I stammered and told my son and husband, and when my husband opened the front door to bring it in, the delivery driver was still there. He said he went down in the elevator as soon as he saw my husband. When I was yelling what he was doing, the elevator door closed... Sigh... I still get goosebumps. It's not like I'm being overly sensitive for feeling suspicious of that delivery driver, right? Everyone, please be careful.

I'm scared of the world these days ㅠ I told them to just leave it at the door~ But some delivery drivers still insist on handing it to me directly ㅠ

Wow, you must have been really surprised. You never know who's delivering, so you really have to be careful. I heard foreign exchange students do that a lot too.

This is something I'd only see on the news... I got goosebumps reading this... If the husband was still there when they went back to get it, and assuming Nana also went back to get it. Wow.. you must have been really surprised during what should have been a happy time. It's absolutely not you being sensitive.. I think you can even complain to the delivery company about this.
