Climbed Eungbong Mountain
The weather forecast mentioned a fall monsoon, but it's not raining, just a muggy sky. Changed my plans again and climbed Eungbong Mountain today. Eungbong Mountain is famous for its forsythias in spring. People who come after seeing it on social media might be surprised by its small scale. It only takes about 5 minutes to reach the summit, but I broke a sweat due to the weather. On the way down, I captured some alleyway scenery and returned the way I came. It feels refreshing to change things up after always taking pictures from the same spot and angle. I've tried taking pictures of alleyways a few times before, but they never turned out quite pretty. Today, I realized that framing the shot from a distance, rather than trying to capture it up close, yields better results. Just like Charlie Chaplin said, "Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy in long-shot." It's good to have a perspective of observing things from a slight distance. Everything passes eventually.

Springtime at Eungbong Mountain is really awesome. I always go there in spring, heading up towards the village, then down the deck stairs on the other side along the path full of forsythias, all the way to Seoul Forest.
