Sigh.. Is this right?
Gout has struck. It's already chronic, so I've only had slight discomfort and limped occasionally, but this time it seems to have hit hard enough that I need to go to the hospital. This happens once or twice a year. But when I told her I was in pain, my wife's first words were that she was annoyed. Even if she has to watch both kids all weekend, is her first reaction to say she's annoyed instead of asking if I'm okay? For the past 8 years, I've been the primary caregiver, even taking parental leave, and I cook dinner every weekday... So, is it right for her to say she's annoyed when I'm sick, just because she has to watch the kids on the weekend? It really makes me wonder.

I heard gout is really painful.. ㅠㅠ You'll have to take your medicine well and manage it carefully.. We always get hurt by the people closest to us. Instead of assuming they know without you saying anything, why not try expressing your hurt feelings clearly? Your wife might have been going through a tough time too.. She might have expressed herself that way because she was upset and didn't like you being sick.. 😔

OMG... My husband usually says he's sick but doesn't go to the doctor. Even if I tell him to go, he just says he's sick. It really annoys me then, but I don't show it... Like, why won't he go when I tell him to, and just keeps saying he's sick? Are you feeling a bit better now?
