People around my age... What's your take on company dinners/drinking parties?
It's true that the culture around company dinners definitely changed after COVID. As someone who doesn't like drinking, I actually really liked that. Having personal time after work instead felt so good. But at my current company, where I've been for a little over a year... Ah... they really love their company dinners. They know my preferences now, so they don't force me as much as they did at first. But even being asked feels uncomfortable from my perspective... Ah, after work hours... I really wish they wouldn't touch that time. Either start the dinners earlier, or...

An evening company dinner? Just the thought makes me feel suffocated. True relaxation comes after work, so it's really tough to have that time taken away. Sir/Madam Knight, you worked hard today too.

It's really uncomfortable for everyone if you don't get along!! And even if you completely separate, people might still feel hurt... I guess that's why people dream of running their own business and make those changes ใ ใ

Weekday lunch gatherings seem like the best.. Eating something delicious in a nice atmosphere..๐ If that's not possible, I'll accept it if we eat beef once a year for dinner..^^;
