A Word from a Former Player
I'm someone who played for 3 years and quit early this year. 1. Lots of 'chore-like' rewards. - The game's characteristic is that it makes you rush to maintain your rank, collect cookies, and level them up, rather than enjoying the game. For pickup banners, you might miss out if you don't log in every single day, which causes a lot of stress. 2. Strategies keep changing. - This happens every time a new cookie is released. Especially in Guild Dragon, the bosses change, and if a cookie better suited to the current traits is released, you have to completely overhaul your deck and remake toppings, biscuits, etc. Similar to point 1, this is quite exhausting... 3. If you want to enjoy it as healing - Play casually without worrying about rank, cookie collection, arena, etc., or start over. Honestly, the beginning when I first started Cookie Kingdom was the most fun... but it gets harder as you get more serious about the game. If you can avoid that, it's still enjoyable, and the story and music are all great, so give it a try!!

Oh, you quit the game.. ㅠㅠ It's gotten a lot better lately and is quite playable, but the extreme inflation is still a thing ㅠㅠ lol... But well, game companies aren't charities, they need to make profits, so I understand.

Me too,,ㅜ I'm a user who's been playing since launch, but there's too much daily grind and the power creep is severe. The meta changes every time a new character is released, or if a new character is ridiculously strong, the meta gets stuck with that cookie being essential for months... I came back when Timekeeper was released but quit again,,,,

I can relate to that. I've been playing since the early days, and while I log in daily to get event rewards, it sometimes feels like a chore. I'm too lazy to change my deck, so I just stick with the same one every day.

The daily grind is really exhausting, isn't it? It's not even an idle game; the cookie combinations change with every new cookie release, making it too hard to keep up, so I quit.
The homework feels a bit too much. I guess all subcultures become a chore game when you push through the story though...

Every time a new high-grade cookie comes out, it feels like the daily tasks are a bit tough, to the point where you can't even participate in the Arena without it. Still, I gave up on the Arena early on and focused on kingdom decorating and story, so I guess I'm less affected. It seems like a really fun game if you play it casually.

I've been playing since the very beginning, up to now 😇 Just as you pointed out, the strategies keep changing.. Especially for the boss raids and arena, they keep changing after new updates, so I've pretty much given up at this point.. Back in the day, I used to spend money and struggle to get the top-tier cookies like Legendary and Super Epic when they were released 🤔🤔 But nowadays, I don't spend money except for the Kingdom Pass, And it feels like a lot of players have left because of that. Still, I found a lot of common ground after reading this post 😊 Thanks for putting in the effort to organize this~

I'm an early player. I've quit and returned 3 times... haha. It's fun when you're leveling up, but when it starts feeling like a 'chore,' my interest just plummets. Then, if a fun story pops up, I come back again... hahaha..
