Question about the 7.1 version event that gives a 5-star limited character
Which of these guys should I pick... Are there any decent meta characters among them..?

There are quite a few characters that are a bit clunky to use... but for mobility and performance, the recently released Varetha seems like the best choice... Since my deck doesn't have any major gaps, I'm just going to take Baizhu, who has straightforward controls.

Wouldn't Varesse be the best? I don't have Varesse right now, so I'm planning to get her ^^

Bailu is the most standard pick, and if you're close to getting Nilou C2, then Nilou is also a decent choice~
