I'm level 12 and think I can make it to level 14 somehow, but I'm running low on resources.

SLG games are fun, but it's a bit much when the upgrade times later on take 2-3 days minimum... And you can't just spend endlessly on microtransactions... It's a shame.

First off, if you join a populated guild early in this game, you'll gain many benefits. It's very difficult to obtain speed-up items in this game. You can either raise your VIP level through spending or, if you're free-to-play, the guild shop sells 10 x 60-minute items and 5 x 8-hour items weekly. You can also get miscellaneous speed-up items from the elite zombie rallies. And for those who focus on building level-ups like me, if you research production and construction in the research lab, you won't run short on resources up to level 20. Keep exploring and hunting consistently.
