Brawl Stars Bug?

In Brawl Stars, if I keep getting 4th place in Solo Showdown, an AI appears... is this a bug? (It only happened up to 'Pre1' though...)

The user has withdrawn.

Even when I keep playing Solo Showdown, I notice a lot of AI opponents when I place between 7th and 10th. I'm not exactly sure why.
