I don't know if this is what they call 'holiday syndrome'... Ever since my parents passed away, the meaning of holidays has largely disappeared for me... it's been about 20 years now.. As I get older, I miss them more, wish I could see them, and regret things. But it's already too late.. Every time the holidays approach, I just feel so down... That's how I've been lately... that's how today is.

Nowadays, many families go on overseas trips during holidays even if their parents are alive. I hope you enjoy the happiness of everyday life.

About 5 years ago, both of my parents had to undergo brain surgery, and after going through a really tough time, I definitely feel like I've become a better son(?) than before. I try to spend more time with them now, take them around to see nice places, and treat them to delicious food ㅎㅎ. The saying 'cherish them while they're here' really holds true.
