Seems like one of the few games where you can compete even as a free-to-play player
If you've been playing for a while, you probably have most of the cookies and have leveled them up quite a bit. I think just buying the pass would be fine. It seems like they're adding new rewards or quests for new players lately, so it might be worth trying. While the cookies have strong personalities and high-rarity ones appear often, they give out a decent amount of gacha currency and coupons, so it should be okay. Of course, reaching the highest tiers will be difficult, but I still think it's a playable game.

As you progress, you'll find there are more things you need to pay real money for than you might expect ㅠ

There are some collaboration events you can't get no matter what, but even if you're free-to-play, you can definitely get high-tier rewards by consistently logging in and completing quests, so I think it's definitely doable for free-to-play players too 👍
