How to comfort someone who is an ISTJ?
My partner has been having a tough time lately with various things, and I don't know what to say to comfort them or give them strength... They said they want me to understand their situation and struggles... I feel like I do understand and empathize (though maybe not 100%)... but they're still struggling... What should I say in times like these..? ใ ใ I'm an ISFP.

Your heartfelt sincerity will surely reach him. Rather than words, simply being there silently and realistically listening to his concerns is enough. I hope he overcomes this difficult time.

I'm also an ISTJ. I read that T types find comfort in solutions being offered, but I personally prefer unconditional emotional empathy and someone taking my side as comfort.

The way and moment one finds comfort differs from person to person. I don't think you necessarily need to rely on MBTI.
