Pack only a few clothes for each season and don't bring too much luggage, as it will make cleaning difficult.

First time living alone, exciting yet daunting, right? If you put off cleaning, it'll never end, so doing it a little bit often is the best. Don't forget to eat well and stay full!
It's not exactly a pro tip, but based on my experience living alone, the wisest thing is to avoid buying unnecessary things.

Is your place far from your parents' home? Or close? Put seasonal clothes at your parents' place and only bring what you'll wear. You'll wear short-sleeved shirts a lot. Don't buy large quantities thinking you'll cook often. Frozen foods are okay. Students surprisingly don't cook much at home, so stock up on ramen, cup noodles, and simple frozen foods from Coupang. Don't just buy random stuff from Daiso because it looks cool; it'll just become clutter. Since most dorms/apartments are studios, check the internet and management fees. That's about it. Just be careful about not letting pests in.
