The Neighbor's Neighbor

I watched a movie after a long time. Personally, I feel like 'The Neighbor's Neighbor' shows everything about the Korean sentiment. Even without ability, if you have connections, life somehow goes on.. They say humans are social animals, but I really felt like there's nothing connections can't do. I think he's the most pathetic protagonist among the movies I've seen this month. I felt it in other movies by actor Choi Min-sik too, but really.. his acting of being vile? or cowardly? is great. I even wondered if such a work would have come out if it had been a different protagonist. The story development and the relationships between characters are also interesting. They fight to the death one moment, then team up, and then fight to the death again.. In the last scene of the relationship between Choi Min-sik and Ha Jung-woo's characters, I remembered Ha Jung-woo's character saying around the middle, 'The only thing you can rely on is family.' <- This line came to mind. In the end, you can't even trust your family.. He's not a good person, but I felt a bit sorry for him. Anyway, I enjoyed watching it. If you're okay with the protagonist's pathetic nature and occasional violent scenes, give it a watch sometime.
