5 Minutes Before Clocking Out, What's Your Choice?
All my work for the day was done, and just as I was about to shut down my computer! My colleague next to me suddenly speaks up. "Oh right! I forgot, I have to finish this today. Can you help me out for just 10 minutes? There's no one else who can solve this but you..." This colleague has often helped me out in the past, and this is their first request today. They're even looking at me with a genuinely troubled expression. What would you say? A. "Oh man... what do I need to do first?" B. "What's up? How long do you think it'll take?" C. "Why are you telling me this now? Just give it here." D. "Sorry, I have plans right after work and have to go." E. "Why should I do your work?" Or would you react differently? I think I'd probably say, "What is it? Let me see." first. If it's a colleague who usually helps each other out, I'd gladly help for about 10 minutes, but whether it's really a 10-minute job... I'd have to see, right? LOL Basically C, but depending on the situation, it could turn into E or even some cursing...... 😅

Hmm.. If it's a colleague I'm close with and who has helped me, I'd probably check what it is. It's B for now, but if it really only takes 10 minutes to help, I'll do it, otherwise I'll refuse.

For me too, it first came out like 'What is it? What's going on? What is it?' lol As someone who's had a similar experience, and since they didn't refuse my requests, even if I want to go home after work, I should do at least as much as I've received if they need help.
