Watchmen (2009)

This is the monumental film [Watchmen (2009)] that shattered the mold of superhero movies. Unlike the common superhero films released in recent years, it carries a different weight. It's not a movie where heroes appear to smash things and defeat villains. While Marvel's Civil War debated superhero regulation, this film depicts a world where only government-sanctioned heroes can operate, and those who aren't have either retired or become government agents. As retired heroes are mysteriously murdered, "Rorschach," who tries to uncover the truth, approaches the climax, and the film poses a question: [Who will control and monitor heroes (or powerful individuals) with immense power?]. Rather than a flashy action or villain-slaying entertainment movie, it feels closer to a philosophical (?) film, delivering a profound message that makes it difficult to approach as a mere time-killer. Nevertheless, it's a highly recommended movie. There are three versions: Theatrical, Director's Cut, and Ultimate Cut. The Director's Cut might be the easiest to watch.
