If you turn on the sound effects, no matter where you are (main room/event stage), you'll hear a squeak whenever a mouse appears. (Turns out mouse squeaks can pass through walls and dimensional walls?! How loud are they... I can hear the mouse at the far end of the garden corridor on the left even from the lobby.) (PS. This actually helps a lot with finding the mice. The arrow might not be precise, only indicating which room has the mouse thief. Catching mice gives bounties, 5 times a day, and you can exchange them for resources, so don't give up easily.)

Don't worry if you can't defeat the octopus monster in one go. Just a reminder, the octopuses on the same day share the same health bar! You can keep attacking it.
