回到童年~

In this era of AI, I've always wondered how we managed to complete our elementary and middle school essays and sentence constructions back in the day. Before AI, to write sentences, you'd have to search on Google for 'If... then... sentence examples' or 'How to write an essay about what I want to do in the future.' Now, any AI can generate that. So, my friends and I discussed how we did our language arts homework back then, and found that many people did the same thing. We all used a website called the 'Bluster Generator.' You'd input the essay title, and it would generate several paragraphs of nonsense. Then, we had to pick a few sentences that were usable, otherwise, the teacher would scold us. What tools/websites did you use for your essays back then? Share with us below! (I just searched on Google, but couldn't find that old website.)

Just realized I can't link directly to the game, so I had to take new screenshots and post again. Back when we didn't have internet at home, I used to play this to kill time.

The little sweet potato babies from Yam (蕃薯藤) were super cute. Back then, I could only raise them during computer class, and I'd ask friends who had computers at home to help feed them. I remember successfully raising one with braided hair to adulthood until it left home (I forgot how long it took). I originally planned to raise all four, but they often ended up in the orphanage 🫠 Then I gradually stopped playing... But it seems like I can't play it anymore now 😭 Otherwise, the raising game was designed really well.

Back in the day, I'd come home from school, log into Mole's World, cook in the restaurant, do quests in the Black Forest, and so on. I made a lot of good friends in the game too. When I was young and foolish, a stranger offered to top up 150 yuan for free, and I stupidly gave them my game account details 😭 I managed to get it back eventually, but some of my precious rare items were messed up badly 😵‍💫 Over time, all my friends in the game stopped playing, and I quietly quit too. Now, the atmosphere in Mole's World is even worse, and my beautiful childhood is gone forever.

Back in middle school, my mind wasn't mature enough to think too deeply. My friend suddenly asked if jumping from the third floor would kill someone. I didn't think much of it at the time and pondered it too. I thought, 'Probably not, but you'd definitely break some bones.' Then my friend suddenly said, 'This is inciting suicide.' I was a bit startled and felt a little wronged, but I didn't dwell on it and the feeling passed. Thinking back now, maybe my friend wanted me to comfort them or stop them.

My family told me my dad used to secretly play Galaxian on the Famicom when he was young. After I became an adult, I bought this game 🐟 in Japan before the region lock. I asked my dad if he wanted to play, but he said he was too embarrassed and played the mobile version instead. Oh well 🐥
