It's finally not as hot today. But the rain is so annoying... The forecast said light rain, but it poured at noon, and my shoes got soaked 😭

Mount Everest (Qomolangma) is the highest mountain peak in the world, with an officially measured altitude of 8848.86 meters according to the latest data. It is located in the central Himalayas, straddling the border between China's Tibet Autonomous Region and Nepal.

The world's first famously documented conjoined twins, known globally, were brothers Eng and Chang from Thailand (then Siam), which is also the origin of the term 'Siamese twins'. Born in 1811, they were joined at the chest, later moved to the United States, married separately, and had a total of 21 children.

The weather is nice and cool, the only downside is that it's raining again.

Japanese physician Chihiro Motobe shared a case where a woman's left eye vision improved from 0.2 to 1.5 after two years of daily nail massages, with her floaters also reportedly getting better. While this sounds miraculous, it requires more rigorous examination. Why is nail massage thought to be effective? Traditional Chinese Medicine views the base of the fingernails as containing twelve 'Jing' points, the origin of Qi and blood in the meridians. Moderate pressure is believed to clear heat, refresh the mind, and regulate internal organs. Modern medicine suggests that the nail edges are rich in nerve endings, and massage may stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation and improving blood circulation, thereby alleviating eye fatigue. However, alleviating fatigue does not equate to treating disease. Cataracts are a structural condition where the proteins in the lens become cloudy and denatured. National Taiwan University Hospital clearly states that there are currently no drugs that can cure cataracts, and surgery is the only effective treatment. Presbyopia, caused by the aging and loss of elasticity in the lens, is also irreversible. Floaters are shadows cast by debris in the vitreous humor, and there is currently no broad scientific evidence that massage can eliminate them. Nail massage can be a form of daily wellness to help relax, but it should not replace conventional medical treatment. If you experience a sudden decrease in vision, a significant increase in floaters, or flashes of light, seek medical attention immediately. Nevertheless, it should be fine as a form of daily wellness~ If you're interested, here's the report on nail massage: https://ulapp.hk/ciazl

Or is it just based on playtime and badges? Has anyone linked it? 🤔

No more dividends, so just posting some random stuff. =3=

In Santa Ana, Orange County, a heinous animal abuse case recently occurred. A 75-year-old Asian woman, Ruan Han, allegedly used dog food to lure her own 9-month-old puppy under a van. She then slowly drove the vehicle, crushing the puppy's head with the rear left tire for about 15 seconds before driving away, leaving the severely injured puppy to die in agony on the roadside. This was not an accident; it was a meticulously planned murder. According to surveillance footage, she first carried the dog out of the car and placed it underneath. She then scattered dog food near the car door. As the puppy approached to eat, she drove forward, precisely running over the puppy. Prosecutors stated that the puppy's head was severely crushed, and the dog food used to lure it was found on the road. After being arrested, Ruan Han claimed that she decided to abandon the puppy because it chewed on her boyfriend's shoes, which annoyed him. She lied to her boyfriend, saying 'the dog was hit by a car,' and never admitted to being the perpetrator. Her boyfriend only learned the truth after her arrest. Orange County District Attorney Spitzer stated, 'This act of violence ended the life of an innocent puppy and traumatized those who watched the video.' He emphasized that they would prosecute to the fullest extent of the law, whether against humans or animals. Ruan Han has been charged with two felony counts of animal cruelty and faces enhanced penalties for using a vehicle as a deadly weapon. She was released on $20,000 bail and is scheduled for arraignment in early November. The case is ongoing, and no final verdict has been reached. Old age is not an excuse for cruelty; true violence lies hidden in everyday indifference and selfishness. I envy foreign countries. When a crime is confirmed, they directly release the criminal's appearance without mosaic or covering their face, unlike Taiwan where they try every means to protect criminals 😑
