After Transmigrating, I Became a God by Plundering --- Part 3: Dream (2)
Thus, subsequent events like the Battle of Zhuolu, Yu the Great's flood control, and the Battle of the Investiture of the Gods took place. However, because the異界生物 (otherworld creatures) had already reproduced with the native lifeforms and gone through thousands of years of constant conflict and interbreeding, a large amount of spiritual energy was depleted. Furthermore, after the sky was mended, the world no longer generated spiritual energy. Finally, the original spiritual energy in the world ran out, and all beings could no longer cultivate.""Ran out? That's a lame ending?""You brat, what are you talking about! I'm telling you the truth, do you think I'm just telling a story?""Listen carefully, after the spiritual energy disappeared, we left our homeland and went to a distant world with spiritual energy to recuperate, but we still paid attention to our homeland. Until a thousand years ago, Buzhou Mountain, originally supported by Zhulong, finally began to crack again, and the rifts from other worlds started to appear. However, what entered first from the other world was spiritual energy, and thus the entire world began to awaken again. After thousands of years of evolution, your human race's sustenance actually carries the bloodline of ancient demon races. So, in this evolution, the human race has also improved. What you call companion beasts, talents, and professions are all results of evolution. It's actually similar to our cultivation back then, it's just that your starting level is too low, but it's much more convenient for cultivation.""What you need to do is actually only one thing: let our culture revive and not be severed. When the rifts opened back then, they caused spatial tremors. We observed that the time in the entire world stopped for hundreds of years. When it started flowing again, everything had changed.

After Transmigrating, I Became a God by Plundering --- Part 3: Dream (1)
Finally, tomorrow is my fifth birthday. I fell asleep full of anticipation. "Kid, I've finally been waiting for you to come in." "Who is it?" "You don't need to know who I am. I'm just here to tell you some things you should know, as per my mission. What happens after is your own business." I didn't know who was speaking. The voice seemed to come from very, very far away, very fuzzy, yet I could clearly understand its meaning. "Listen carefully. In ancient times, Pangu created heaven and earth. You should know this." "But for some reason, the era you live in has forgotten everything from before, even losing its history." "And you are the soul we have chosen to guide your era back onto the right track." "Wait... why me?" "Don't ask so many 'whys.' The higher-ups chose you, what do I know? Just listen carefully." "In ancient times, the water god Gonggong crashed into Mount Buzhou, causing the sky to collapse and the earth to crack. Nuwa took the legs of a giant turtle to replace Mount Buzhou, intending to support all things in heaven and earth. Actually, the sky didn't collapse then. It was the collapse of Mount Buzhou that caused the world supported by it to shatter. From the cracks, creatures from other worlds continuously appeared, many of them possessing strength comparable to immortals and gods. Nuwa also died in that disaster. Fortunately, Zhulong, who awoke at that time, used his own flesh and bones to re-erect the collapsed Mount Buzhou and used his remaining magic to resurrect Nuwa. Nuwa was then able to refine the five-colored stones, successfully mend the heavens, and seal the cracks. However, the creatures that broke through from other worlds caused great chaos, leading to the emergence of what are called 'demons'.

Why Not Sing and Walk Leisurely?
"Ah Zhuo, let me tell you, yesterday I saw a super good novel, the characters were so vivid and exciting. Don't rush, I'll burn it for you when I'm done..." - "Ah Zhuo! My martial arts have improved again. Master praised me for being amazing. I'll show you a few sword moves right now!" - "Brother Li, good morning. Off to talk with Brother Xue again?" "Yes." "Ah, I have to say, ever since Brother Xue left, you've become just like him. Say a few more words, won't you die from holding it all in..." "..." "Alright, I won't say more. Morning class is starting soon. Master asked me to tell you it's okay if you don't come, just visit him when you get back." "Got it." - "Ping'er, come here." "Master, what are your orders?" "There's a mission. Take a look." "This is..." "Go. Master knows everything." "Yes... Your disciple obeys." - "Ugh (stabbed) Li Ziping, it's you...?" "Enough nonsense. Take this sword!" - "Master, your disciple has completed the mission." "Ping'er... Why did you do this?" "With this matter resolved, my long-held regret is gone. I have no more attachments. Let me... follow Ah Zhuo." "This old man cannot stop you, but I will warn you: Zhuo'er would not want you to be trapped by the past." "Disciple understands." - Li Ziping departed. Before the final day arrived, he traveled through mountains and rivers, leaving many traces. It was strange, though. Though he appeared to travel alone, it was as if two people were journeying together. - Afterward, Li Ziping returned to the place where Xue Zhuo was buried and slept eternally. The epitaph read: 'Looking back at the desolate place I've come from, without you, there is neither wind nor rain, nor clear skies.'

Mystery Novel: ℬ𝓁𝒾𝓏𝓏𝒶𝓇𝒹 ℳ𝒶𝓃𝑜𝓇 EP5
Snowdrift Manor appeared after a turn. It was a three-story stone building, its exterior walls made of dark gray granite, the roof covered with heavy snow, and a few windows emitting a dim, yellowish light. The building itself wasn't particularly grand, but its location made one uneasy—a sheer rock face behind it, a steep downhill slope in front, and the only road in and out winding away into the woods. If one were to choose a place to film a horror movie, this would be the top pick. Zhang Zhenyu greeted them at the entrance. He was a man of about fifty, lean, dressed in a dark wool sweater, with a gentle smile but eyes that held little warmth. He shook hands with each person, remembering everyone's name, even accurately stating Old Zhou's title before his retirement. "Welcome, everyone," he said, stepping aside to let them through the door. "Dinner is ready. The weather changes quickly in the mountains. The forecast predicts strong winds and heavy snow tonight, so for safety, I recommend you all stay put in the manor for the next few days." The hall was about two stories high, with a massive stone fireplace in the center where flames burned fiercely. Several oil paintings of mountain scenery and forests hung on the walls, but Chen Mo noticed a small knot pattern in the corner of each painting, like the artist's signature. Sofas and armchairs were arranged in a semicircle, with a wine bottle and a cheese platter on the coffee table, creating a seemingly cozy gathering scene. However, something was wrong. Chen Mo scanned the room, confirming the positions of the seven people—himself, Lin Jing, Old Zhou, Fang Guodong, Shen Yuehua, Xu Ziqian, and Zhang Zhenyu. All seven were present. But there were eight wine glasses on the coffee table. (To be continued)

Mystery Novel: ℬ𝓁𝒾𝓏𝓏𝒶𝓇𝒹 ℳ𝒶𝓃𝑜𝓇 (Blizzard Manor) EP4
Chen Mo's fingers tightened. Outside, night had fully fallen, and snowflakes swirled in the beams of the streetlights, descending from the sky like countless white knots. "Old Zhou," he heard himself say, "it seems we have no choice but to go." --- Chapter Two: The First Corpse The shuttle was a black van, the driver wore sunglasses and remained silent the entire time. Chen Mo was the last to board, and five people were already seated inside – Lin Jing sat by the window, a notebook open before her, and looked up to give him a slight nod; Old Zhou was huddled in the back row, his hat brim pulled low, as if hungover; Fang Guodong sat directly behind the driver, posture straight, arms crossed, his eyes constantly scanning the window; Shen Yuehua, wearing gold-rimmed glasses, was reading a medical journal; Xu Ziqian sat in the front row, a laptop on his lap, its screen displaying constantly moving data charts. The van drove for three hours, ascending along winding mountain roads. After exceeding an altitude of two thousand meters, snow began to accumulate by the roadside, and the coniferous forest was covered in white, leaving only gray and white in the field of vision. For the last hour of the journey, they encountered no oncoming traffic, nor did they see any villages or shops. Snowflake Manor appeared after a turn. Mystery Novel: ℬ𝓁𝒾𝓏𝓏𝒶𝓇𝒹 ℳ𝒶𝓃𝑜𝓇 EP3
Each one was related to a major case, each carrying some kind of "unfinished business." And the name of the rural village, blacked out, sent a faint chill down the back of his neck. He thought of a case from six years ago. Back then, he was in the negotiation team at the Criminal Investigation Bureau when they received a report of a mass disappearance in a village called "Wugu" in the Nantou mountains—an entire village of over twenty households, vanished overnight without a trace. He was just a support role at the time and didn't delve deeply into the scene, but the last page of the case file included a photograph: tied to the old banyan tree at the village entrance was a red knot. The style of that knot was identical to the mark of the "Serial Knot Killer." And this was after the killer had already been apprehended. Chen Mo folded the list and put it back into the file bag. The snow outside was falling harder. He picked up his phone and dialed a number he hadn't called in three years. "Hello?" came a hoarse male voice from the other end. "Lao Zhou, it's me. Did you get the invitation?" Silence for a few seconds. "...Chen Mo? How did you--" "Snowy Manor, right?" "Damn it," Lao Zhou cursed. "I thought it was some kind of wellness seminar. Are you going too?" "I'm considering it." "Don't go." Lao Zhou's voice suddenly lowered. "I looked into the ownership of that manor. It's registered under an offshore company, and tracing it back led to a dissolved foundation. Do you know what that foundation was called?" "What?" "The 'Wugu Care Association.'" (To be continued)

Mystery Novel: ℬ𝓁𝒾𝓏𝓏𝒶𝓇𝒹 ℳ𝒶𝓃𝑜𝓇 EP2
Zhao Qing offered a perfectly calibrated smile. "The organizer mentioned you'd be interested in the attendee list." She handed over a file folder. "Here's the shuttle bus information for tomorrow. It departs at 7 AM from the east exit of the train station." She turned and left, her footsteps as light as if she had never been there. Chen Mo opened the file. Inside was an A4 sheet with six names and brief résumés: Lin Jing – Professor of Psychology at National University, specializing in criminal motive analysis. Consultant for the "Neihu Serial Disappearances" ten years ago, a case that remains unsolved. Zhou Zhengguo – Retired forensic pathologist, former director of the Identification Division at the Criminal Investigation Bureau. Retired early five years ago due to "evidence contamination controversy." Subsequent investigations cleared him, but he never returned to the force. Fang Guodong – Former Special Operations Unit commander, now a private security consultant. Three years ago, three perpetrators and two hostages all died during a raid he led on a kidnapping case. He was reprimanded for "poor decision-making" and subsequently discharged. Shen Yuehua – Psychiatrist, focusing on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Head of a foundation that has long funded psychological counseling for children in rural areas. Chen Mo noticed that the name of the rural area was blacked out. Xu Ziqian – Behavioral analyst, currently employed in the security department of a multinational corporation. His résumé listed no case experience, only one line: "Skilled in interpreting non-verbal behavior." The last was Zhang Zhenyu, with a note: "Owner of Snowdown Manor, organizer of this seminar." The experience field was blank. Chen Mo read the list three times. Six people plus him, seven. Each one was connected to a significant case. To be continued

Mystery Novel: ℬ𝓁𝒾𝓏𝓏𝒶𝓇𝒹 ℳ𝒶𝓃𝑜𝓇 EP1
Chapter 1: The Invitation As Chen Mo opened the envelope, the first snow of the year was falling outside the window. The envelope was made of thick ivory paper, with no return address. Only his name was written on the front in deep blue ink—the handwriting was so neat it was almost mechanical, with perfectly consistent spacing between each character. He flipped it over, and a gilded snowflake pattern gleamed faintly in the light. Inside was just one card: 「 Mr. Chen Mo, We cordially invite you to attend a three-day "Winter Behavioral Science Symposium" to be held at "Snowflake Manor" at the northern foot of Mount Jade. Attendees are top experts from various fields, and we look forward to your unique insights adding brilliance to this gathering. Dedicated transportation will be provided. Please see the attached page for details on time and location. Sincerely, The Organizer 」 Chen Mo put down the card and took a sip of his now-cold coffee. His desk was piled with psychology journals and several unsolved case files, but he hadn't touched them for the past three months. The whiteboard on the wall still showed the timeline of a previous case, with dense arrows and question marks. One name was circled three times in red pen, with "Negotiation Failed" written next to it, then roughly crossed out. The doorbell rang. The visitor was a young woman in a gray coat, her hair neatly tied back, holding a manila envelope. She introduced herself as Zhao Qing, a staff member for the symposium, here to confirm his attendance. "How did you find my address?" Chen Mo asked. Zhao Qing offered a perfectly measured smile. "The organizer said you'd be interested in the attendee list." To be continued
